How To Set Up Your GT02 Tracker – Quick Guide

2G SIM Card – Insert a 2G SIM card into the GT02 GPS tracker. The status lights just above the SIM card should come on.

Yellow Light – GPRS/GSM
Yellow Light On Constant:  Location successful
Yellow Light Flash:  No GPRS/GSM signal.
Yellow Light Off:  No power or sleep.

Blue Light – GPS
Blue Light On Constant: Has successfully fixed GPS position.
Blue Light Flash: No GPS signal.
Blue Light Off: No power or in sleep mode.

Password – The default password for this GPS tracker is 123456. You will need this when sending SMS text commands to set up your tracker.

Set APN – You need to set your APN for the SIM card you have. Sending command – apn123456 wireless.att.com – would set the APN to wireless.att.com. Replace wireless.att.com, with your own APN.

You can now log into your Elements GPS mapping account and add your tracker to your account. Make sure you use the Tracking Device ID printed on the outside of the vehicle tracker.

 

 

 

How to change the GT02 GPS vehicle tracker settings (Elements GT02):

GT02 GPS equipped trackers are very popular. They are efficient and affordable. The problem is that these trackers are usually shipped with instructions that are severely lacking.

We have put together a list of commands that you might find useful when setting up the GT02 tracker that we sell here. Most other GT02 GPS trackers use the same, or at least similar commands.

You may find some GT02 trackers that use 3G/4G SIM cards, but most of the cheaper ones are going to use 2G SIM cards. That means you need a 2G SIM card to use the GT02 tracker vehicle tracker.

Example Command: password123456 232323 (this changes the password to 232323)

Example Command: sleep,123456,10 (10 means after 10 min no movement will sleep)(0 = no sleep)
